My winnings from OWOH

Hello everyone, I don't know about you, but I had a blast flying around one blog to another from all over the world.  I'm sorry that this is the final year of the event, but have been so blessed to have had the chance to visit so many talented artistisans and even made a few friends along the way.  So once again a huge thanks to Lisa!

I received one of my winnings a couple of days ago from Carola Bartz of carolabartz.blogspot.comWe even have something in common, photography (even though she's way better than I am).

The envelope was stamped with this fabulous design that I think truly summed up the event.

My beautifully handmade tag was inside this photographed card by no other than Carola herself, so I actually received two gifts in one...lucky me :D

Now for the handcrafted tag that I can't wait to add to my scrapbooking pages or with a framed photo.

Be sure to check out Carola's blog, she has lots of information and beautiful pictures.  I also want to thank her personally for having Kim Klassen's buttons on her side bar, because I signed up for a class she was giving and have improved my editing skills so much...so THANKS Carola!

Bright blessings

Coming soon to Ametista Dark Decor....

At one the town's square teemed with life,
The second chime brought roil and strife,
When three rang forth the bell tower shook,
At four o'clock the devil cooked,
Five saw ashes cloud the light,
Six, the moon shone black as night,
The witch's cat shrieked loud at seven,
At eight dripped blooded rains from heaven,
Nine o'clock brings ghoulish cries,
And ten sees children's bulging eyes,
Eleven curses scour the fields,
When midnight chimes death's harvest yields,
Which leads us to the 13th hour,
Best go inside, the scene is dour!

The MoNsTeR bOx of Drucilla Dinsmoore, Duchess of the Night

Drucilla Dinsmoore, Duchess of Night, washed ashore from a shipwreck as she fled her native home. Clutching to her only remaining possession, a MoNsTeR bOx, we found her on the beach whilst on our nightly hunt round the island.

We attempted to nurse her back to health. During  which time she, in her fevered delirium, whispered tales of the darkest nature of the bOx she clung to. She spoke of the contents of the bOx…a collection of the souls from those she had beguiled, tricked and undone.

Look what I received in the mail....

Love At First Sight
Artistic creator Raedell Coogler

I won this fabulous snowman during the One World One Heart blog event.  I was so surprised and very excited that I won and was even more impressed with all the details that went in to this wonderful piece of art.

You can see more of Raedell's creations in her shop at www.dellaraedezines.etsy.com,

Here is a little information about Raedell and her love for creativity.  She's an elementary art teacher who exposes children to art daily, in her words, " and that brings out a little bit of the child in me". Her artistic creations are  whimsical, funky characters. A lady after my own heart shares a  favorite holiday  "Halloween" with Christmas a close second.  Her first love in art was oil painting, but has recently started working with polymer clay and loves it. Raedell has worked in many different mediums over the years. All her creations are born in her head until she brings them to life and shares them with us...we're so very lucky!

You can also visit her beautiful blog to see what she's up to and see more of her artistic designs at www.dellaraedezines.blogspot.com.

Thanks Raedell for my wonderful whimsical snowman!

I love it!

Our latest creations....

This piece was created by C. Lago titled, "Wonderland Artistic Apothecary Bottle", I guess you can figure out where the inspiration came from...tee hee.  She decided to give it to her brother for his birthday.

I created this one using an empty Patron (mini) bottle, keeping in the theme of our other Day of the Dead items...and of course it glows in the dark!

This little bottle will be placed with some of our other select items at Place gallery in Las Vegas, NV.  You'll be able purchase the DOD bottle soon at Ametista as well.
