I'm a lucky gal...

Because the original winner of the these most beautiful lampwork beads from Sandra at Adorned In Treasure didn't return her email, so she had to draw another name and that name was MINE!  And that's not all, she added a little bonus focal lampwork bead as well....and let me tell you it's GORGEOUS!

I can't wait to make something with these wonderful beads.

Look what I won...

I was so excited to receive this fabulous mixed media collage art piece created by Erin of Art By Erin Leigh.  I just had to take a picture of the envelope because it made me feel so fabulous...

now you know why it made me feel that way.  Isn't that just a "fabulous" way to address something special to someone...especially since you've never met.  Erin, thanks it truly did make me smile really big and I also showed it off to my friends and family...LOL!

Inside the envelope my prize was wrapped very beautifully with a lovely black and white ribbon...

and now for the actually mixed media collage...

Erin gave a choice of 6 different artistic collages she had made to choose from.  I chose this one, because it truly spoke to me.  I also felt if my son could see this on a daily basis, it will help remind him to continue to strive to be a better person.  I have it sitting on the family computer desk so it's there for all to see.  Next I'll need to find a frame for it.

One World One Heart 2011

Lisa Swifka, who has an amazing blog called "A Whimsical Bohemian”, introduced a wonderful journey to the blog world. Each year she would take the participants to places that most of us would never have known existed. I discovered this fabulous event last year and am so happy that I did, especially since this will be the last year. During my experience with One World One Heart, I met some amazing people, read some great blogs and made a few friends that I keep in touch with. Lisa’s main reason for starting this was a way for us in Blogland to learn about one another.  

So with that being said let me tell you a bit about me… I grew up in Texas and since have lived in California and currently living in Las Vegas, NV.  I’m part owner of Ametista Dark Home Décor.  My business partner, Carrie and I have been working together for many years now.  We started our journey making fine jewelry, but our passion turned to polymer clay.  I have many interests and love to use my imagination every chance I get…even if at times it’s a little dark. We  work with recycled materials, polymer clay, paint etc… One of my biggest passions is photography.  Most of the type of photography I enjoy is photographing flowers, scenery, animals and the ocean, anything nature has to show me. 

Well enough about that…you probably want to see what’s up for grabs for this year’s One World One Heart Blog event giveaway, with further ado we present to you…

I won this fabulous snowman during the One World One Heart blog event.  I was so surprised and very excited that I won and was even more impressed with all the details that went in to this wonderful piece of art.

Here is a little information about Raedell and her love for creativity.  She's an elementary art teacher who exposes children to art daily, in her words, " and that brings out a little bit of the child in me". Her artistic creations are  whimsical, funky characters. A lady after my own heart shares a  favorite holiday  "Halloween" with Christmas a close second.  Her first love in art was oil painting, but has recently started working with polymer clay and loves it. Raedell has worked in many different mediums over the years. All her creations are born in her head until she brings them to life and shares them with us...we're so very lucky!
