During one of our trips to Laughlin, NV, we went to Riverside Hotel and Casino car show (it's always there). There were all kinds of cars, trucks, motorcycles and even bicycles. Here are just a few photos I took.

Week 2 - Photo Art Friday
My how time flies. It seems like yesterday that I did a post on the very first week of this challenge. It's here again and I've had so much fun creating a piece of "photo" art. I hope you'll enjoy it as well.

I took this photo at a car show at Don Laughlin's Riverside Hotel and Casino. This one was in the showroom out front. If you went inside the casino and upstairs there were hundred more cars and motorcycles of all sizes, age...you name it.
Now how I came about the editing process:
- I cropped the image and adjusted the Bright/Contrast levels.
- Added a cross processing effect in GIMP.
- In PSP (Paint Shop Pro) I used Pixel Dust Photo Art texture Dream Overly.
- I flipped the texture image and used blend mode Difference @ 100%
- Then I merged all the layers down.
- I duplicated the image
- Created a "New Layer Group"
- Click on adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur at 15%
- Changed the blending mode to Overlay at about 93%, that's what gives it an "Orton" finish look to it.

Vintage Appeal
I've seen a certain effect being used on photos lately, probably some really cool "Action" for Photoshop, they have this vintage feel and look to them. So, I've set out to figure out how to accomplish this with my available photo editing programs. Here's one I've done in both Paint Shop Pro and Picnik.com (used on same photo).
What do you think? Am I getting close? Any suggestions or how to's would be extremely welcomed. Off to try more!
