A cause dear to our hearts....

As some of you may know, Carrie's son Alex (a remarkable, amazing and wonderful little boy...)  is one of the many children who has been challenged with Autism. And while we may think he's one in a million, he is in fact, one in seventy. One out of seventy boys is now diagnosed with this is devastating neurological disorder and there is still no cure in sight.

What you see here not only represents the work of artisans  from all over, who support the cause of Autism Awareness via their craft, but it also represents hope...the hope for a cure. Kathy and I are very pleased that an item from our shop was chosen to be part of this very special Etsy treasury!

A Cause Close to Our Hearts

Some of you may know that Carrie has a son with Autism. We are always on the look out for ideas to raise funds and awareness on behalf of Autism. This is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts.

We were contacted by "Autism Delaware", an organization of people with autism, families, friend, and professionals connected to the autism community. Their mission is to improve the lives of people with autism and that is something we wanted to be a part of.
