Macro Fun

Bouquet of flowers for Valentine's Day.  Collage was done through PicMonkey.

I use to do a lot of Macro photography and then shied away from it, not sure why. While sitting next to this beautiful bouquet inspired me to shoot some macro. Hmm...maybe I'll start doing a "Macro Monday" challenge myself.

Collage

Photo Art Friday
Challenge is
Collage

Since I was in a hurry to get this in, I took the easy way in making my collage this week.  I first opened up Pic Monkey "collage" and added my photos, moving the slider where there was no spacing.  Then I went into Pixlr Editor added a few different textures (sorry can't remember the names of them) and added Ruby Blossom's clock texture (that's the only one I can identify :).  I added a glamour glow affect and a grunge ripped paper from Pixlr Express.  I also added the quote in Pic Monkey.

Look what I won...

I was so excited to receive this fabulous mixed media collage art piece created by Erin of Art By Erin LeighI just had to take a picture of the envelope because it made me feel so fabulous...

now you know why it made me feel that way.  Isn't that just a "fabulous" way to address something special to someone...especially since you've never met.  Erin, thanks it truly did make me smile really big and I also showed it off to my friends and family...LOL!

Inside the envelope my prize was wrapped very beautifully with a lovely black and white ribbon...

and now for the actually mixed media collage...

Erin gave a choice of 6 different artistic collages she had made to choose from.  I chose this one, because it truly spoke to me.  I also felt if my son could see this on a daily basis, it will help remind him to continue to strive to be a better person.  I have it sitting on the family computer desk so it's there for all to see.  Next I'll need to find a frame for it.

You can see more of Erin's work on her blog and also in her Etsy shop artbyerinleigh.etsy.com

Thanks Erin for such a meaningful prize.

Bright blessings
