Spring is in the air

The last few weeks I've been itching to go some place different to take some pictures.  I've got the shutter bug...LOL! OK, so I'm a little corny :D  Since I'm not heading off to any cool or exotic location, I decided to photograph a couple of flowers around our yard that were in full bloom.

 Bird of Paradise is from our backyard.

I'm not sure what the name of this flowering bush is, 
but it's still beautiful.

Kathy, the colors in those photos are breathtaking, love them!! Of coarse the fact that I love orange and red may have a little something to do with that. I love the Bird Of Paradise but it doesn't grow here, so glad I can enjoy your's with you!!

I think your mystery bush is a Cape Myrtle. They have glossy dark green leaves and a flower like the one in your picture.
